IN THE MIDDLE
I am a little smitten with intentional blur photography at the moment, taking that soft and dreamy style I prefer in my floral/nature work to an extreme. I love the way the colours run into each other and it also feels pretty good to take a big step outside of my usual comfort zone. You know, photographers spend so much time training their eye and honing their style that quite often, there can be a reluctance to experiment and try new things. That’s fine, we all want to feel that the effort we put into our craft and the improvements we make is reflected in final image but sometimes, just for the sheer thrill of it, just to remember the kind of buzz you got out of taking pictures when you first started out, it’s nice to dip your toes into the mysterious waters of the unknown.
