AVERT EYES if you’re avoiding all things Christmassy!
Just added this lovely range of goodies to my S6 shop based on the ‘Let it Snow’ design that has been a bestseller of mine. I don’t know why these have consistently sold throughout the year (don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining), but I thought it the right time to expand the design. I’m planning new lines and colours over the next couple of days, probably a frosty blue/green and perhaps purple or a black too. Will keep you posted with the finished item.
Cannot wait to see if it will snow this weekend! Having spent the past 15 years living in the Middle East where the weather is either ‘hot’ or ‘hotter’, the novelty of changeable days still hasn’t worn off and I especially love cold weather. That feeling of tightness on your face as your skin freezes on a winter’s day and the ensuing tingling heat and runny nose when you go back indoors. And then there’s the wintery wardrobe of cozy knits, hats and gloves to wrap up in. Bliss. So I’m waiting and hoping, holding frosty breath with fingers crossed … and toes.
Whether it’s summer or winter, I love all types of berries. They are just so photogenic and provide a bit of colour, especially in winter, to lift an otherwise fairly dullish nature-scape. I guarantee this won’t be the last berry-bright shot you’ll see here over the next few weeks and there’s another one over on my Flickr page if you want to hop on over.
Just posted this dreamy little pot of light into my Society6 shop and there $5 OFF every order at my S6 shop for a limited time only if you use this link!
So some of the lovely people over at Society6 will be posting their photographs/illustrations/paintings tomorrow to represent the theme Opposites and I think I’m going to go with this one. I thought I’d sprinkle a bit of festive magic into the shot as well since the shops have begun to load their shelves with sparkly goodies and that’s started to get me all excited. I know some would say it’s far too soon but is it ever too soon to start feeling Christmassy? Really? I don’t think so.
I’m so far behind getting some Christmas work out, I can’t tell you but I’m slowly starting to get into the spirit of things with my first seasonal artwork. I think I might buy a few of these and give them as gifts this year.
